Case Study Automotive Insurance - Data Warehouse in the Cloud
×
Creation of a new Data Warehouse on the Cloud.
The rising total cost of ownership (TCO) of the traditional BI environment, combined with a lack of agility and high time-to-market, forced a key player in the auto insurance and breakdown services market to consider new options for collecting, integrating, and processing data in a cost-effective and agile manner.
Read on to see how we created a new solution that not only meets these requirements, but helps our customer leverage their data in the cloud on a whole new level.
Context
The total cost of ownership (TCO) of the traditional BI environment, combined with the lack of agility and high time-to-market, forced our client to consider new options for collecting, integrating and processing data in a cost-effective and agile manner.
Challenges
That's why they turned to the experts at Lucy, to help them implement a new cloud-based enterprise data warehouse to meet the following requirements:
- Build a new agile data platform.
- Integrate data from existing systems (such as SAP) with data from new sources (including Salesforce) seamlessly
- Significantly reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) of BI/Big Data.
- Implement the tools necessary to move to advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities.
Methods and Solutions
We implemented a new Data Lake and Data Warehouse in AWS, using Data Vault 2.0 as a methodology to speed up the data integration process while ensuring full data traceability and auditability. We also implemented our own DV 2.0 engine using standard AWS technology to automate DWH entry and integration.
Technology solutions
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a comprehensive and widely adopted global cloud platform that enables companies to reduce costs, increase agility, and innovate faster.
