1. All about Nico
Hello Nico! First things first, tell us a little more about yourself and your journey up until this point.
"Hello, I am Nico Sacré. I recently joined Micropole BeLux as Director of Transformation and Financial Performance."
"About my journey... Some time ago, I started my career as a junior accountant at DHL to do their statutory consolidation.
"In the 10 years that I worked there, my passion for financial systems grew to the point where I became responsible for all the financial systems of DHL worldwide. My last project was implementing an SAP Planning & Consolidation platform for the Group for over 2000 users."
"From there I went to Business & Decision, a well-known French group where I held the role of Analytics Practice Lead. One of the software vendors I closely worked with was OutlookSoft which I would later join.
That company was acquired by SAP and so I joined SAP as a Principal Consultant in Analytics. Over the years I grew to take on the role of Head of Analytics Services BeLux.
After 8 years spent helping customers with their main challenges concerning analytics I went on to join Element61 as a Partner. It was a challenging 360° function where I came into contact with all types of stakeholders and departments which allowed me to grow even further and readied me for the role I take on today, here at Micropole."
2. Objectives and ambitions
Considering this rich history, what excites you about the world of data and analytics? What brings you joy in your work?
"I have 25+ years’ experience in Analytics at customers’, software vendor’s (SAP) and consultancy side supporting & advising companies implementing medium to very large SAP and non-SAP BI & performance management projects. "

"Supporting companies finding their way in this ever-changing digital world, especially in the world of Analytics is my passion. Ensuring that a customer achieves their growth ambitions together with an enthusiastic and committed team, is something that makes my day. It really is a team effort. The close collaboration between a consultancy company and the client is the key that will ensure a perfect result.."
