PowerBI Developer

I'm a Power BI developer. I specialize in data visualization, and more specifically in the creation of interactive reports and dashboards to help organizations make decisions through information extraction.

Why Micropole?

I chose Micropole for its caring environment and the passionate people who work there.

If tomorrow you could choose to be anything, anyone, anywhere at the snap of your fingers: what would it be?

I'd be Guitar Hero, touring the world with my band!

Arno Verriest

Data Engineer

There's not really a label for the work I do, but if you want to give it a name, it would be Data Engineer. However, we deal with everything, end-to-end, so that may involve, for example, PowerBI.

So we look at where the data is coming from, we make sure it's entered into the right structure or database, or you know, the set-up that's been discussed with the customer, until the data reaches the end user. What I like most is the entirety of the process. I like the fact that we don't just have to develop something, but that we can see the result with the end-users of what we've actually built.

Why Micropole?

I came from another consulting firm that did the same job, so nothing changed on that front. I had a few interviews with other companies, but nothing really fit. I can't really explain what it was like, because yes - of course - there's the training part which is really important. Certifications are necessary to show customers that we're still at the top of our game, but that's not all. It's the fit that counts. I talked to Kenny and Egon and got the impression that this was the right direction to take. It's the cultural fit, the personal fit that I haven't had with other companies. That famous "click".

If tomorrow you could choose to be anything, anyone, anywhere at the snap of your fingers: what would it be?

I'd like to be on top of Mount Everest. But not without training of course, haha. Even Mont Blanc would be an ambitious project without proper preparation.

From in-depth training to support teams and impressive projects, we've got it all. Find out more about our current vacancies and maybe at one of our next interviews, we'll talk about why you wanted to join the Micropole team!
